Kidney Health Costs In Australia Spiral Out Of Control

The cost of chronic kidney disease in Australia is spiralling out of control according to a new research report 'Study of the Economic Impact of the Burden of Kidney and Urinary Tract Disease in Australia' by the George Institute of International Health commissioned by Kidney Health Australia. The report reveals conservatively that the cumulative cost for health care in the kidney area will sky rocket from $1.8 billion in 2006 to $4.7 billion in 2010.
