AHHA - the best network you can have
Do you need to tap into a network that will connect you to colleagues throughout the health care industry? Do you want to participate in health policy development or make representations on a particular issue but don’t have the access or contacts?
You can belong to a uniquely positioned organisation that represents you and is your voice at a national level.
This is the Australian Healthcare & Hospitals Association (AHHA), the only national organisation that since 1947 represents the public healthcare and not-for-profit healthcare sector and last but not least the professionals working in it.
The AHHA is uniquely positioned to facilitate collaboration between policy shapers, clinicians, academics, managers, administrators and politicians from all states/territories and all services in the public health sector, including state health departments, regional health services, hospitals, community health centers and aged care facilities.

Below is an overview of our services. Our focus in all these services is to provide up-to-date information and networking in the health sector and involving our members to engage in networking and in the development of healthcare policy to uphold and improve Australia's public health care sector through high-level advocacy and representation.
As a member of the AHHA, you are entitled to access all the following services:
- Australian Health Review
Australia's leading quarterly journal on health policy, systems and management, enabling health professionals to keep their finger on the pulse of crucial national and international health issues and questions.
- The Health Advocate
AHHA's official magazine – an editorial on major health care issues that provides notifications of AHHA news and events and invites contributions from members.
- e-Healthcare Brief
AHHA’s electronic weekly newsletter reporting health related and relevant news, events and research.
- AHHA News
AHHA offers a free up-to-the-minute on-line health sector newsroom, keeping members informed on current issues and developments.
- AHHA Events
AHHA offers a free on-line health events and conference listing, updated daily.
- AHHA Jobs
AHHA’s on-line health industry job posting service, offering users direct access to the health sector. Institutional members receive FREE UNLIMITED job postings on this site, with a large number of users passing through the site each week.

Membership Categories
All prices are in Australian dollars ($AUD) and inclusive GST.
STUDENT
Student membership is available to those undertaking post- or under-graduate study, full or part-time, in a health related course in an acknowledged institution.
Prices for 2010-2011 are as follows:
- Australian Student Members - $195.00*
- Overseas Student Members - $262.00*
PERSONAL
Health professionals, managers and other individuals interested in the Association's goals and members' services are eligible to join as personal members.
Prices for 2010-2011 are as follows:
- Australian Personal Members - $262.00*
- Overseas Personal Members - $360.00*
ASSOCIATE
Associate membership is available to those organisations and individuals involved in the healthcare industry in an indirect service delivery capacity, for example as consultants, architects, engineers, IT services and other suppliers.
Prices for 2010-2011 are as follows:
- Australian Associate Members - $1050.00*
- Overseas Associate Members - $1430.00*
INSTITUTIONAL & AREA HEALTH SERVICES
Institutional membership of AHHA is open to hospitals, community health services, rehabilitation organisations, aged care facilities and all other healthcare service provider organisations. This includes Area Health Services as well as entire state/territory health systems. AHHA offers Area/Regional Health Services tailored packages to reflect the number of health facilities in the area or region.
Prices for 2010-2011 are based on a scale of gross operating expenditure (GOE). The fees list is included in our membership brochure.
