PENINSULA HEALTH Peninsula Health is located on Victoria's beautiful Mornington Peninsula and comprises an Acute Health Service based at the Frankston (364 beds) and Rosebud (76 beds) Hospitals, a Rehabilitation, Aged and Palliative Care Service across six sites, a Psychiatric Program with fully integrated in-patient and community based services, and a Community Health Service. It provides an extensive range of health services to the surrounding community and is a major teaching facility associated with Monash University. A comprehensive staff development program exists along with a newly established employee assistance program. Salary Packaging and inexpensive staff car parking facilities are available. The city of Frankston, which is Peninsula Health's 'home base' is an outer southern suburb of Melbourne, situated on Port Phillip Bay and is 40 kilometres, or a comfortable one hour drive to the Melbourne CBD. It is a major regional hub and services a district population exceeding 300,000. Frankston is well serviced by public transport, educational, sporting, recreation/leisure, cultural, commercial and retail facilities. Housing is moderately priced, both for rental and purchase and all major government and local council facilities are available in close proximity. The Mornington Peninsula is a popular tourist destination and the area has a range of quality beaches, wineries, restaurants and sightseeing. BUYER An exciting position has become available for a Buyer within the Supply and Materials Department at Peninsula Health. Located at Frankston Hospital, we are seeking a team oriented person with extensive purchasing experience, demonstrated negotiating skills and the ability to control inventory. Competence in extracting, collating and analysing data using MS Excel is essential, as is the ability to review and administer contracts. If you can work within tight timeframes, accept responsibility and assist in all aspects of the department’s functions, we would be pleased to discuss this interesting and challenging position with you.
